Yes, I fly LHR-DUB quiite often and (on BM anyway) you get a light, hot breakfast and a sandwich at lunch. It can be a race to eat with a short flikght like that...not so pleasant. I actually can do without the meal on the short hop because I am usually connecting to a meal flight so I pass anyway. With a flight like MHT - DTW you have a 15 minute climb-out and a 20 minute decent leaving 30-40 minutes "cruise time". A couple drinks and those world famous mixed nuts is fine for me...
