Are you aware of how many non-smokers have been billed after the fact for a room they didn't smoke in?? Or how many folks have called the front desk to report Joe Blow in room 723 is smoking...only for security to find out he isn't smoking?
That's the point I'm making here.
Regardless of whether or not this ultimately helps or hurts Marriott's bottomline, it's going to cause some heavy duty problems if non-smokers find a $250 charge on their credit card statement a week or two after checking out.
