My ex did a BAH-DOH run a couple of months ago and found the whole experience with checked baggage (due to the restrictions on carry on luggage at that time) something of a nightmare. She also found the BA crew incredibly rude and aggressive when they became aware of her itinerary but YMMV.
My experience earlier in the year was somewhat more pleasant, albeit there wasn't the silly hand luggage restrictions in place back then.
The BA crew were extremely helpful and polite and organised a new BAH-DOH BP without any fuss. Yes I did have to stay on the plane while it was cleaned but that wasn't so bad with multiple drinks/snacks and chats with the crew.
