So? It's a guest column by a guest author, clearly named and representing himself, not the airport, so he's entitled to his opinions. And outside the US, you're actually able to call fat people "fat" without having a posse of NAAFA guys sit on you until you pay damages for harassment, discrimination and emotional distress.

If you read the column instead of trying to sensationalize it, you'll realize that the author himself says "maybe he's a nice guy" and in a way gets his comeuppance at the end.

Incidentally, I referred to two fellow pax as Mother Whale and Moby Dick in a previous trip report, and similarly counted my blessings at not being stuck between them. Does this also upset you?
