Slots at LHR are a problem, but one that money can always solve. If DFW were a permitted gateway, AA would pony up the needed $$ in a heartbeat.
Meanwhile, Bermuda II does not recognize SJC as a coterminal of SFO, so SJC-LHR is also out before it even gets considered. AA could theoretically enter SFO-LHR but is not in a good position to do so.
