Now (disclaimer mode on) for the price (disclaimer mode off) Tiger Airways is really an awesome airline. I like them allot, I've flown them quite a few times and happily will again in the future when it's on my dime.

OTOH if I was on a "Pacific delight tour” that was supposed to be Thai Airways and wound up with Tiger airways instead I would probably be a little bit miffed. Tiger Airways is of course a LCC and is not even in the same league as Thai. Tiger Airways most endearing factors are the awesome prices, that they have clean new planes and at least for me they have always tended to be on schedule. But the 29 inch seat pitch, no assigned seating, 15kg baggage allowance, no FFP, snack food for sale and Changi’s budget terminal kind of tends to make them compare pretty poorly to the likes of Thai until you factor in the fact that the ticket probably only cost half as much or less.
