You should focus on apples-to-apples comparisons ...

UA competes w/ BA on LHR routes ... Why pull off a competitve product (UA int'l 777, for example) and put in on a route with no real competition.

Prices on the nonstop to FCO can be adjusted to reflect seats, service etc.

You're telling someone who analyzes business rationale for a living that this alternative / possibility is "the worst business decision anyone can make" ... Another know-it-all armchair airline CEO on the board.
