Most definitely. Until late summer most people (myself included) and most, if not all, airlines figured that the Sept. 28 opening date was a pipedream. It's quite a miracle that Suvarnabhumi opened at all on that date and that the bugs in operations were so minor. In terms of lounges, uncompleted shops, and finishing work, the airport obviously would have benefited from an opening 6-months from now. But I think that the Thai airport authority officials do deserve some real credit for what they accomplished after receiving the order for the arbitrary opening date.
