I think consistency in the three-class United international product is key here. Trans-Atlantic and Trans-Pacific flights are served by international aircraft, not domestic aircraft.

Doesn't make it a smart business decision. Pull an Int'l 777 out of LHR for consistency??.

Maybe this route is similar to the AA RDU-LGW subsidized route ... I really doubt it though.
