Welcome to FT.

My theory is that if a property is managed by Marriott International the likelihood is that hotels will, more often than not, give Elite status guests the perks they're entitled to receive as spelled out by the MR Elite T's & C's.

When there's variance my experience is that it tends to be significantly toward the "more" than the "less."

With regard to breakfasts the FS's (resorts aside), since so many have lounges and if they don't, not providing it on weekdays subjects them to liability are probably more sensitive (and liberal) as to the complimentary breakfast issue.

Not so at CYs (where the designated freebie is water and cookies) and there is no lounge so a missed free breakfast is not an issue.

Also, I would think it would be more likely at properties where the franchisee is self-managing or has contracted with a management company other than MI where there's more discretion and where you'll experience the inconsistencies (good and bad).

(I would be interested in Marriott Guy's take on this.)
