The LH416/417 (early LH FRA-IAD) always used to be a 330, the later one (LH418/419) is usually a 747. Apparently with the increased demand on that route, they tend to use a 747 more often even for the early connection. Enjoy flying the A330, it's one of the nicest birds in the sky (IMHO)
