Again- posting exceptions doesn't really answer the question. Yes, it can happen that more people are allowed in...just as it can happen that AA loses track and forgets to charge someone for their flight...and they get a free flight. So, yes, it is possible to walk in with 10 people (I'm sure it's happened somewhere, to someone), but this is surely not the rule.
