Got there at around 3pm (Mon 16th) and the lounge was almost full. After leaving to have a bite to eat as the food is so bad in the lounge, and returing around 4.30, every seat was taken and many people were standing! I walked across to the entrance and entered the First lounge which was half empty. Was quickly accosted by staff and ended up in a heated argument with the lounge supervisor as to why they do not allow paying C-Class pax into the F-Lounge when it has space available. I eventually left (i think just before she was about to call security!)
I can understand that they are having teething problems at the new airport, probably outside of their control, but surely they should do their best to accomodate high rev business passengers. Is it that much of a big deal to allow them into F lounge (or just separate the F lounge with a reserved section for F as in many other lounges)? I have to say it threatened to ruin what was otherwise a very good experience with flying Thai business class.
I suggest that everyone who finds themselves in a similar situation asks that they can use the F lounge. Perhaps they will evenutally get the message!
[also, no boarding announcements and no flight info screens in the lounge]
Your boorish behaviour is decidedly unjustified. Just because the C lounge is crowded gives you no right to go into the F side without asking for permission. The F lounge is reserved for F passengers, not for C passengers regardless if they are "high rev business passengers." Your efforts to remain in the F lounge by arguing with the staff makes you look pitiful. Why would you argue for something to which you have no right????
If you don't like the crowded C lounge situation, I suggest you fly another airline. Perhaps the CX lounge is less crowded.
