OK, so I'm ever so slightly PUTI (having I have just polished off 2 bottles of wine), but not so much so that this isn't worth a post...
At the moment I'm staying in a nice big suite in the Radisson in Brommy-land. It's got lots of rooms, 'n sh it.
Before heading back to my room tonight after dinner, I stopped off at my friend's hotel to see what her room was like - she's staying at the
nitenite (owned by yo! I believe) and she'd described it as a great little room, where the bed takes up 90% of the space, and you can only really have 1 person stand at a time.
Interesting I thought...... had to have a look.
......................and I actually quite liked it. I'd call it more of a pod. As you go in the door, the bed is everything that is too your left. Imagine a double bed thats length is the complete width of the room, and 3 of its sides are against walls. There is a plasma screen which is the entire width of the double bed on the wall, a small area for standing, and a toilet/shower.
That's it. There's a control panel on the wall for lights 'n' sh it, and LOTS of different light settings!
The walls are padded, and it is very cosy. Not clostrophobic, just cosy. No windows, but the plasma screen shows a camera view of the outside.
Over all - I liked it. If they gave miles like here at the radisson, I'd definitely give it a go. Coming back to my room here is nice because I can shove down my coat somewhere and not have to worry until tomorrow morning, make myself a coffee etc...... but I somehow feel that that pod was quite special....
Anyway, time to turn in.... feeling quite full as decided to go against the trend of starter and main course and desert, and just had 3 main courses
Nite nite everyone
