I'll be departing from LGW in the morning. In addition to my checked luggage, I have a laptop case and a small camera backpack.

The laptop case and camera backpack together would definitely fit in the sizing unit. Does anyone have an idea if they'd let me carry on both if I were to, say, tie the straps together? ("It's one bag, it's just very modular!") Or could I put both bags into a big plastic bag?

Not looking forward to possibly having to check my D-SLR and half a dozen lenses LGW-ATL-SCL... Traveling within Europe I've just put my camera bag in my checked luggage which is sub-optimal but not horrible for short-haul non-stops.

My large camera backpack that has a laptop compartment is back in Boston.
