I have also missed red wine many times in BKK. Once I asked this, and the friendly lounge-lady very politely explained that there is no need for wine (there isn't any white either) in the lounge, as I would be getting it on-board.

She was really very friendly, and started to suggest all sorts of possible other drinks, but clearly she completely failed to understand why somebody might want red wine before/between the flights.

Do they need to pay taxes for products served in transit-area?
