I have about 22,000 miles in my Flying Club account that will expire December 2006. The fares available (N class) do not qualify for an upgrade and I do not have enough for a whole flight. I know about the Miles plus Money deal but with taxes included it really does not make much sense. I remember getting a magazine mile promotion a few years ago to keep the account active but I have not received one yet. Assuming I do not get one, what are the most cost-efficient aka free ways I can get some activity on the account? I have heard about Points.com but I'm not sure if its legit. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
