From an email I sent to the Super Elite desk (my emphasis)

Kindly note, instant KK's can solely be processed by the Aeroplan representatives at the Customer Contact Center. Therefore, should you wish to take advantage of this benefit, you will need to contact us by telephone to make the reservation and the service fee of $30.00 plus applicable taxes/person will apply.
Does a group of SE's want to get together to write a formal letter together? I'm willing to coordinate.
