Maybe a little bit off-topic, but I have a friend who is working in a travel agency. I sometimes give him a NICE bottle of cognac, and he lets me play with the Amadeus reservation system....

It looks like he is not able to get the same price/fare rules that I can find on i.ex travelocity or expedia. This is first of all for travel originating outside our "home" country (where he is also based).

Are they "blocking" some fares for TA's situated outside the country where the journey starts?
