Uh, really? Call out the media!
However, even though I'm aware that's policy I've never had a seat assignment changed after I booked. One time I was changed to make room for a disabled person's extra gear, but my new seat was better (exit row that came available day-of) than I could select myself.
And then there are the upgrades...
