Either LRD is part of the US or it's not, and so asking people to declare themselves as citizens or not is ridiculous when it comes to domestic flights.
You know that & I know that (I should, because I live here), but that's the way it is for some bizarre reason. I suppose it's all a part of the "Border Patrol Agent Full Employment Act" or something. And actually, the guys at the airport are a lot nicer about it than the guys at the checkpoint, who sometimes take offense at my bumperstickers.
I grew up in the Valley & often flew out of MFE & NEVER was I asked about my citizenship before getting on a flight there.
