Zaget's 2005 Survey gives it good reviews, except some complaints of the "unimpressive lobby and some shabbiness" but no one mentions the smoke smell.

It was also recommended by the Andrew Harper Hideaway Report and it is a Q Club member.

But I trust the reviews I get from this website -
