Or more accurately, there wasn't a good seat on Concorde. With 38 inch pitch, the Connolly leather and cradle design didn't quite make up for it, if the seat next to you was occupied (arm rests too narrow, so it was just like economy seating, fighting for the armrest). Luckily Concorde rarely had over 20 pax/flight (out of 98 seats, if I recall correctly), until BA announced its retirement, then it went to 100% full. The most fascinating fact about the Concorde was that it was operated by BA short-haul FAs, who rotated between Concorde and LHR-CDG etc. service. Apparently BA longhaul staff were just not up to snuff given the need to work the entire flight time. I once counted, there were 14 FAs on one flight (for 98 pax, of 7 pax per FA). Quite impressive in such a narrow cabin, though not quite up to the CX F ratio of 4 pax per FA.
