For what it's worth, I prefer row 2 - bulkhead - and im 5,10.5 -- the seats actually recline quite a bit and in row 3 it feels like you have the folks in row 2 at your feet and when row 2 is fully reclined it touches my feet if my leg rest is fully extended. With seat 2B you get the benefit of nobody reclining into you and as it juts into the aisle to the front door I can extends my legs a bit further, although if you do this during boarding you will get knocked into by 9 out of 10 people who pass by
There is some visible interference with the J cabin folk in row 3...The F/J bulkhead isn't completely level, and in the centre of the aircraft it is slightly forward of the two side parts. On the aforementioned flight in 3J those in the middle section in the first row of J were pretty close by and got a good ogle at the F cabin service. Would be nice if AA could bring back the curtains between classes...
That said I think row 3 is pretty superior to 2. From where I was sitting it seemed as though the bulkhead seats when reclined had no room between it and the bulkhead. Whereas I had acres of room!
