I just finished spending five nights at this Hilton. My colleague and I arrived around 11pm on a Sunday night with quite a few bags and no bell man around offered us any assistance. Even while checking in the front-desk staff did not bother to offer any assistance with our bags.
I don't have any status with the hotel so I was given the exact type of room I booked, an Executive room.
The lounge is decent--open bar while it is open (it closes at 10:30).
There is currently no gym (I guess it is being constructed/refurbished), but they said it would be ready by October 23, 2006. Our 180€/night rate included buffet breakfast in either the lounge or at the restaurant on the ground floor. I never ate in the lounge but the buffet spread in the restaurant was really nice with a good selection of both hot and cold foods. They also had made to order eggs, pancakes, waffles, etc.
It's not directly in the city itself but there is an inexpensive tram that runs into the city which is a 5 minute walk away. It's only about 10-15 minutes away from the airport and although others here have said it is difficult to find, I can't really tell b/c the Hertz car we rented had GPS navigation and led us directly there.
Since I'm working in Colmar, we are going to switch to a closer hotel in the town of Colmar, which btw is a very charming town.
