Well, that seems to be in line with what I have found - discounts not readily available. Even places that offer discount coupons (Crutchfield, Brookstone, etc.) to their stores usually exclude Bose merchandise. Living in central Florida, home of the blight that is "outlet" malls, I am aware that they are often not any deal.

I have looked on ebay. It seems like even the used ones, from reputable sellers go for about $250. In the grand scheme of things, a 15% discount doesn't seem to justify a new versus used purchase to me. If the savings were about half, then I would consider it, but I haven't found that - yet!

I will see which of the vendors that sell the headphones for $300 offers the best rebate through Fat Wallet (or, in the true spirit, who offers the most miles!) - and maybe see if I can get a gift card or two at 90% of face value and save a little bit of dough.
