Consider NW

Jewish Synagogues: Beth Israel
1972 NW Flanders St
Portland, OR 97209
(503) 222-1069

There is also Shaarie Torah on NW 25th and Lovejoy. Shaarie Torah is traditional. I don't know about Beth Israel. Both are walkable from the Downtown area. It would take about 30 minutes, but it is a nice walk. The closest nice hotel to both would probably be "The Inn at Northrup Station".
I am just in the process of moving and about to dismantle the computer for a few days (give or take) but I can give more details If you want when I am not in the midst of a move.

Shabbat Shalom,
Shakti

If we want to walk around downtown on shabbat but also go to a synagogue within walking distance, in what area would you recommend staying?
