A couple years ago, myself, jan_az, SanDiego1K, and Wireless misconnected on our way to SIN in HKG. The attempts of many other FT'ers to hold the plane in HKG went upon deaf ears and to make matters worse they saw us pulling into the gate in HKG as they were pushing back 5 minutes early. We all booked economy tickets and upgraded using SWU's to NC. As the UA flight was the last flight to SIN we were given hotel vouchers and issued FIMS for SQ 1 booked in C the following day. Well SQ didn't accept the FIM since we were in upgraded business. We were eventually issued FIM for J on CX which they accepted. Tickets were booked in J and earned the J class bonus.
