I think, that you can spend your miles more useful on upgrades, flights without saturday night stay, peak season fares.
To be honest, 90 % of those Fly Smart offers are not worth the miles.

They offered Mallorca in January, a destination which is available every day for DEM 200 ex Germany in low season.

They offer some east european cities in February, but who wants to go to Budapest/Graz in Feb ??

They offered New York for 55000 Miles in March, Ok New York is worth a visit on 365 days a year, but a ticket costs about DEM 600 on LH in March.You better spend 15000 more miles to get an upgrade !!

On the other hand fares to many european cities are so cheap these days, I would not burn 20000 Miles for a ticket.

I understand, that Fly Smart offers are only for off season markets, but I really donīt think it is worth it for a LH FT or SEN with the unlimited expiration.

But a lot of basic M&M members are happy, if they can use some mileage before the expiration within 36 months......
