That's funny... On the way to a civil war reenactment early one morning, I ended up having to do a quick reshuffle of items in my bags at the ticket counter when one of my cases turned up 12 lbs. overweight... When I got it all sorted out, my two bags checked, and I headed for screening with my carry-on...

...only to draw really odd looks from the x-ray guy. Turns out I'd made weight on checked bags by shoving a 12" cast iron frypan and it's lid into my rollaboard. When asked by the TSA guy what that was for I started to explain....and when I got to "civil war reenactment" he just shook his head and waved me on through...

It wasn't till I got to Antietem that I really thought it through...
The hell with a box cutter, A cast iron pan and it's lid is a dandy substitute for a mace and shield!
