I was looking on http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/...atusPrivileges and see that as oneWorld Emerald, I am allowed "Extra 15kg or one extra piece on USA flights++" "++ Size and weight restrictions apply.".

Do I have a choice if this extra piece can be a carry on or checked baggage?
