Just want to answer the question regarding CI's Airbus A330-300...

It is all refurbished with the new sliding seats, but the pitch is definitely less than 60". It is around 50", which is pretty good for regional flights.

The flight is about two hours and CI serves a full hot meal on both directions.

Generally, Emirates is the cheapest option, but EK departs late at night to BKK. (For fare listing, go to www.aerohkg.com).

Anyway, I think CI is a pretty good option and on time performance is pretty good. EK tends to run late on the return flights. Gulf Air also has the on-time performance problem.

That is just my opinion. I am flying CI J from HKG to BKK early November and will post a report. Hopefully that will help you out better!
