Hey guys,

Just recently purchased a syd-lax-jfk-lax-syd on the 23rd Nov (yes, thanksgiving for all friends across the pond).

It has come up in my reservation as a syd-jfk, jfk-lax, lax-syd. Is there any way to get them to split the syd-jfk so that I could waitlist for an upgrade lax-jfk? I rang and was told no, but was wondering if any experiences here were to the contrary.

I am not too stressed about it because I asked my travel agent to get me onto a P.S. flight from lax-jfk, and the only t class availability was if we booked as a syd-jfk.. no t class available lax-jfk.

Get in 9pm 23rd, fly back next morning to lax at 6am on the P.S. flight.. glad to have gotten PS both directions on a t fare from Australia. Are those flights likely to be busy or will people already have flown to where they are going to go.
