don't make it sound like some kind of IDB prize. It isn't.

FIM is a term going back to ye olden days. AA gave me one when they rerouted me on TW&US once. The new itinerary had more segments than were in my ticket. The FIM was basically AA saying they would make good on my travel even without me having the right flight coupons.
