A 1960 coach ticket adjusted for inflation gets you a seat in 1st today, and you'll still have enough left for a bottle of Dom Perignon.

A 1960 1st class ticket adjusted for inflation gets you a private business jet today.

If you convert the price of a 2006 coach ticket back to 1960s dollars you'd be riding Greyhound, without any chance of an upgrade.
