This complimentary new "Google Docs & Spreadsheets" combines a spreadsheet application that Google formerly introduced in June with the word processing program called previous called "Writely."

It continues Google's attempt to offer a suite of software apps tethered to Internet connections rather than a given computer's hard drive.
