Hi,
I just joined FT but have been reading the mail for some time now.
I have done some work at NBIA, now BKK of course, during the construction phase, though not in this area I have seen a lot of things happening over the several years of construction.
Ref the air bridges not being used, In a lot of cases I think they are simply not ready. Let's not forget that the airport was opened before it was really ready. Six months from now it may well be very different. Think what KLIA, ICN or CLK would have been like if they had opened them a few months earlier than they did.
With all of the services, HVAC, network, FIDS and PIDS necessary to activate an air bridge my guess is that they only have a few fully operational as yet.
Will admit I haven't seen the real deal as yet but will depart Sunday so will be paying attention.
Rgds
M.
