OK, after reading all of this I still have a question.

I have a NON-MR Chase Visa. Has anyone gotten Chase to convert a non-MR Chase card over to a the MR Premier card? For a variety of reasons, I don't want to have to go through the entire application process, just convert a card, and take the bonuses.
