I believe the most important is flight cancellations. If LH or any other alliance airline has to cancel a flight, they will reaccomadate you.
If ryan or easy cancels a flight, there is no alternative offered! Check recent departure statistics for easyjet in Berlin...
So, if you really have to travel from A to B on a certain day, better not rely on a no frill...
