I attended a focus group in San Francisco last April that "tested" C class seats for an "unnamed airline"...all logos and identification were removed...however I peaked at the moderator's binder during a break and saw an Elk Grove address...Hmmm, I wonder who that could be?...We tested nine seats...one was LH's seat(10 RT in them per year...I know!!) and another was very similar to BA's seat...a third was close to NH's seat...all but one(UA's cradle seat)were flat but only two were horizontal. The group chose the NH-like seat as their favorite and the LH angled seat as their least...I was the odd one in the group choosing the BA-like seat as my favorite. Surprisingly, the cradle seat was chosen as #5 by the group over 4 "flat" seats and I picked it as #4...I guess after a couple of million miles in that seat, my body has gotten used to it!!
For what it is worth, the moderator indicated that the "unnamed" airline would be choosing the seats this fall(I hope)...we shall see if our group results had an influence.
Thats weird more people didn't like the BA style flat seat...
