I agree. That post you quoted is absolutely ridiculous. I was told yesterday that my 100ml bottle of hair gel, which is 3.2 oz. was too big, even though it was literally only about 1/5 full of gel. I had not been previously aware that it was the size of the container that mattered and not how much was actually inside. So I dumped the contents out, and then had an empty 3.2 oz bottle, which certainly is not a prohibited item. I wanted to accidentally dump the sticky gel on the guy's podium, but my conscience got the better of me and I just emptied it into the trash bin.

Now I just need to scratch off the ".2" part of the measurement. I doubt any TSA agent will know that 100ml is more than 3 oz. Oy vey.
