I'm sorry that one of my colleagues was unprofessional with you.

Taking meal orders in intl F is supposed to be done the same way as in C or on in dom F, ie the purser goes through the cabin, asks for first and second choices, and then prioritizes (in the galley) based on MP status.

International F is boarded with enough entrees for all psgrs in the cabin plus entrees for the crew. For example, if there are 8 customers in F and 12 FAs working the flight, there would be a total of 20 entrees. Paying customers would be accommodated first, then non-revs, and the 12 entrees left over are for the crew for their meals. Using 20 meals as a starting figure, there would probably be 6 beef, 6 chicken, 4 fish and 4 pasta (those usually seem to be the choices).

I can't think of any time that I haven't been able to accommodate a paying passengers request for their 1st choice of entree. It is possible (esp when most psgrs in F are paying customers) that I would run out of beef or fish (usually never run out of chicken or pasta). In that case, I would take an entree from business class (usually the exact same type of meat, poss with different veggies) and plate it on F class dishware -- its really not that difficult. Again, Im sorry you had an obnoxious FA. I hope this wasn't the Purser! Feel free to report them to CS -- maybe my seniority will improve! ^

On a 2nd note... Someone else mentioned that FAs asked passengers in the C cabin to change seats to accommodate a party of SAs.
FAs are often asked by paying customers to help them gets seats together (both in Y and in C) and we do our best by tactfully asking other passengers if they wouldn't mind switching seats, (esp if its an aisle for an aisle, or a window for a window). I don't see the problem in asking people so switch so a party of non-revs can sit together if its done tactfully and in a way that doesn't inconvenience a paying passenger. For example, I might ask a paying passenger if they wouldn't mind switching an aisle for an aisle. If they agreed, I would offer them a sincere thank you, and make a point of telling the SA to thank them as well. I also wouldn't ask a paying passenger to move from the aisle to a middle seat.
