Just an FYI, as for aircraft, it was VH-OEE on the outbound QF12 LAX-SYD and VH-OEF on the inbound QF149 SYD-LAX. Enjoy the 747, nothing tops it. I was also lucky enough to fly on a 747-300 QF1123 SYD-MEL and 747-400 MEL-SYD on UA840.
