You have to buy a turkey fryer, which they are 50% off the day after thanksgiving, that's how I bought mine

You need an oil that has a very high smoke point, like peanut oil, if you are allergic, then canola would do OK

You cook each lb of turkey for 3 minutes at 350°, so a 15lb will only take 45 minutes

45 minutes with the oil at 350, which takes close to 20 minutes, and I raise the oil to 370 to begin with, the turkey is going to initially drop the temperature of the oil, then I just keep an eye and adjust the flame to keep it at 350

Try it, it is great

I think Cholula used to have Cholula flavored fried turkey here in ELP, as it was part of their Xmas party, which he never invited me to
