How does the 500 mile mininum relate to Miles and Points?

I.E. I'm thinking about booking BOS-JFK-BOS at $120+ RT.

Does this get 187(actual)*2(RT) or 500(min)*2(RT) miles?

Does this get 187(actual)*.5(factor)*2(RT) or 500(actual)*.5(factor)*2(RT) points?

Or what?

I care most about the points, because I'm in the middle of a challenge.
EQM is maximum of 500 or actual miles.

EQP is maximum of 500, or actual miles times the fare class multiplier (.5, 1.0, or 1.5). The 500 does not get multiplied.

200 mile flight in Y class: 500 EQM (500 is bigger than 200), 500 EQP (500 is bigger than 300).

200 mile flight in N class: 500 EQM (500 vs 200), 500 EQP (500 vs 100)

400 mile flight in B class: 500 EQM (500 vs 400), 600 EQP (500 vs 600).

The flights will post "funny" to your statement (e.g., 200 miles plus 300 "bonus" that aren't really bonus). You can only see the EQM/EQP by backing out the increments in the two counters...
