If the levels for qualification for a US resident are 100K, and all my travel is in First Class, Senator status is mine for 34K...that's not a bad deal. B]
In theory, it should be lower that 34K because somewhere along your F class journey to 100,000 status miles, you will reach FTL and receive more bonus miles which would count towards status, therby lowering the requirement even further.
