BizJet: the rules for upgrades (now 100'000 miles for non-german-residents) changed per sep-1-2000. Since then Frequent Fliers also get a 25% bonus on any StarAlliance flights that count as status too and compensates the higher requalification level in 'the long run'.

I asked LH about how the handle it (the now 100'000 - before 80'000 requalification rule) if somebody just 'makes' 80'000 in oct-2000 and didn't profit much yet from that new bonus. LH replied, that officially it is a NO, but that they would look into it individually, but that the requalification period anyway ends only per end of february (2001) which is six months after the change of rules.
