Banker, If you travel in paid first class on LH then you would receive 3x miles (status and program) with LH (3.75X if you are FTL; 35,000 mile threshold); on UA you would receive 1.5x UA M+ program miles and 1X UA M+ status miles. So as soon as I made 1K this year I started crediting LH (for all my non-UA *A operated flights) because I get 2.5x ( I only travel in business class ) STATUS and PROGRAM miles with LH M&M. As long as having LH miles isn't an issue go for the (effectively) double miles (3x vs. 1.5X).
