Question on luggage allowance
Here's the facts:

Uncle and friend will be using award travel (AC AP miles) to travel business or first class YVR-FRA. Award ticket is Germany-only so I am telling them to buy onward tickets to BCN (where they want to go) which runs about US$200 r/t rather than to spend 20k miles for an award ticket.

Uncle tends to buy too much and 40kg/88 lbs between the two of them is unlikely to be sufficient.

Will LH be kind enough to combine the award and bought tickets so they get the 2 pc allowance?
