I, and some other FTers, have done turnarounds on SQ at CGK many times. It is easy as long as you have the return boarding pass (if not then may be a headache if transfer desk canīt print it for you. Go straight up escalator to departures level. Sometimes there is a security check at the bottom (rescreen carry on) and sometimes not. Then head to lounge or shops or whatever. Takes very few seconds. Will have to pay departure tax at the gate. 100,000 rupiahs or can pay in USD, euros, SGD. No change given so try to have the right amount.
